The Shasta County Sheriff’s Marijuana Team is reporting finding gargantuan plants growing on a rental property. SINTF joined the team as they served a search warrant Tuesday morning at a home on Wilson Heights Road off of Dusty Oaks Trail east of Bella Vista. Three men were there, but two of them were questioned and released. The man renting the property is apparently 46-year-old Denis Bozzo. Inside a metal shop building deputies found 398 marijuana plants in various stages of maturity. In the backyard there were 55 plants and most of them were 13 to 15 feet high. After it became apparent that Bozzo actually lives on a neighboring property, another search warrant was obtained for Bozzo’s house. That allegedly turned up 81 pounds of processed marijuana bud packaged for sales, commercial packaging machines and scales, prescription drugs with no prescription, 7 handguns, 3 shotguns, 7 rifles, high capacity magazines, about 5,000 rounds of ammunition and almost 14,000 Dollars cash. Bozzo is not supposed to have guns because of prior felonies. A long list of charges will be filed with the D.A.’s Office.
