A young Red Bluff man fired a gun during a foiled carjacking, according to police. Victims and witnesses on Kimball Road told them Friday night that 20-year-old Miguel Angel Banuelos fired two shots from a handgun, although the victim was able to drive away unharmed, and Banuelos fled on foot. When police arrived they were told Banuelos was associated with a red Chevy Cruze, which was found by a CHP helicopter at an apartment complex a couple of blocks away. The people with the car directed officers inside one of the apartments. Banuelos was ordered out over a P.A. System and surrendered after a few minutes. Inside officers reportedly found 2 stolen handguns, one of them loaded. Banuelos, who was on probation, faces a list of felonies.
