The death of a 24-year-old man Wednesday at a trailer park south of Redding is being called a homicide by the Shasta County Sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit. The body of Randall Thomas Matsunaga was found at around Noon in front of space 33 at the Bixby Knolls Mobile Home Park off Highway 273 just north of Happy Valley Road. Matsunaga was taken to Mercy Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy is scheduled for next week to determine a cause of death. Detectives have processed the scene for evidence, but haven’t released any details or apparently made any arrests.
