Redding Police Investigators have released the names of the Anderson Police Officers involved in the fatal shooting of a man last week. At around 9:30 the night of March 26th four officers were at the Anderson Motel 6 on McMurray Drive doing a criminal investigation when one of them was apparently fired upon. Officer Tyler Finch was shot twice by 53-year-old Edward Paul Parinella of Redding. The bullets did not penetrate through Officer Finch’s protective Kevlar vest, and he sustained only minor injuries. The other officers involved in the shooting were Officer David Starkey and Officer Tyler Spurgeon. Sergeant Casey Day was on scene, but he did not fire his weapon. All four officers have been place on administrative leave. Redding Police Department is the lead investigating agency.
