Redding Police Chief Robert Paoletti may be looking for another job. Former City Manager Kurt Starman, who retired on Friday, confirms in a letter to local media that Paoletti is a candidate for a police chief position in a Bay Area city. Hired in 2011 following the service of Chief Pete Hansen, Paoletti came to Redding from Stockton, where he was a captain. He’s also a high ranking officer of the California Army National Guard. Starman calls Paoletti “a seasoned law enforcement professional with a tremendous amount of experience and expertise.”
