A Shasta County man allegedly documented his sexual abuse of children on his phone, and he’s been arrested after month long investigation. On May 30th a confidential informant contacted the sheriff’s office and turned over a cell phone, a laptop computer, thumb drives and hard drives all purportedly belonging to 30-year-old Robert Jaron Skoda. A search warrant was obtained and the electronic devices were viewed. They contained hundreds of pornographic images and videos of children as young as 5. Most appeared to be downloaded from the Internet but there was reportedly footage of Skoda in sexual acts with teenagers as young as 14. One of the teens has been identified. Also found were photos and videos of Skoda with adult women. The sheriff’s office believes there are unidentified victims in Shasta and Siskiyou Counties, and they’d like people to take a look a Skoda’s mugshot. Skoda was arrested Thursday and booked on multiple charges.
