Saint Patrick’s Day falls on a Saturday this year and the CHP is preparing to target impaired drivers. Last year on Saint Patrick’s Day the CHP says that statewide officers made 148 DUI arrests and 3 people were killed as the result of DUI crashes. Other local law enforcement agencies will also be looking for impaired drivers.
