A homeless Redding man apparently took an opportunity after the owner of a North Redding home passed away recently. Police say 31-year-old Michael Van Dolah moved right in to the man’s house on July Way off Lake Boulevard. One of the problems with that arrangement is that the City of Redding had condemned the property as uninhabitable. Redding Police arrived at the house Tuesday morning and searched, reportedly finding methamphetamine, paraphernalia, suspected stolen property and a shotgun. Van Dolah was arrested on a long list of charges. 6 abandoned cars and a motorcycle were all towed away.
