A domestic violence suspect was chased by Red Bluff Police Saturday morning, and he got away. A little before 10AM officers responded to a report of a man beating up a woman on Sutter Street. He was gone when officers arrived, and witnesses said he had fled in a gold car. The car was spotted going north on South Main Street and a traffic stop was attempted on the Interstate 5 southbound onramp, but the driver took off at high speed. Two patrol cars gave chase at well over a hundred miles an hour. Because of heavy traffic, the officers gave up the pursuit at Orland as the car continued south. The suspect, who’s still at large, is identified as 28-year-old Martin Perez of Modesto.
