A third person has died from a crash on Highway 99 in Tehama County that already had claimed the lives of two young children. On Saturday at Noon, 18-year-old Brayden Lee Frazier of Chico was driving a Honda Insight with his girlfriend, 27-year-old Eva Mirrin Davies of Lewiston, next to him and her two children riding in the backseat. They were northbound approaching 62nd Avenue north of Los Molinos when the small hybrid car drifted across the center line and smashed head-on into a freightliner tractor-trailer. The trucker was not injured. The children, a 7-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl, both died at the scene. Davies remains hospitalized with major injuries. Frazier has died of his injuries. The CHP is still investigating whether or not the children were properly restrained. Witnesses are urged to contact the Red Bluff Area CHP.
