A South Siskiyou county woman has finally been sentenced for 2017 charges of sexual misconduct with multiple underage Mount Shasta High School students. The investigation was started by Mount Shasta Police, who got word that now-45-year-old Mary Frances Fletcher of McCloud had spent several weeks meeting up with three Mount Shasta High School football players at a business in Mount Shasta and then taking them out of town to various places to have sex. The Sheriff’s Office and D.A.’s Office did a series of interviews and a thorough investigation before arresting Fletcher. The case has undergone many delays, but Fletcher has now been sentenced to 6 months in jail. Siskiyou County District Attorney Kirk Andrus told the Siskiyou Daily News that his office had continuously strived to treat the situation as they would if the victims were female and the perpetrator was male.
