A third victim has died from a Shasta County shooting last month. Shasta County Sheriff’s Detectives say that on June 27th 35-year-old Daun Eric Sanders shot three people at a home on Gail Lane off Dersch Road, about a mile from Highway 44. 59-year-old Jon Charles Depoorter and 66-year-old Michael Barton Stanfill died at the scene and 59-year-old Stephanie Currie was in critical condition until she died at 2 O’clock Thursday morning. Sanders was a resident of Gail Lane, though the shooting did not occur at his home. He lived there with his 80-year-old father, Bill Sanders, who has been missing for two weeks now. He’s considered at risk. On July 1st Daun Sanders died on a Southern California freeway. He was driving the wrong way on Interstate 15 in Ontario, California when he sideswiped a big rig, then turned around and drove the other way until he collided with a median wall. Sanders then fled on foot on the freeway with a puppy in his hands and was struck by another vehicle.
