A Shasta County chronic offender has reached a plea deal in an assault case for coughing on people. Tammy Baldwin was arrested after walking around the Safeway Store in Anderson, coming up close to customers and employees and purposefully coughing on them to make them believe she was spreading COVID-19. She was also charged with trespassing at a dozen businesses and public intoxication. She’s generated 40 calls for service for Anderson Police this year alone. After pleading to five misdemeanors, Baldwin was sentenced to a year in county jail.
