A Trinity County man was captured by a K9 after allegedly making threats and starting fires. Last Thursday morning deputies and CHP Officers headed to Stanley Z Road in Salyer on reports that someone was making threats and setting property on fire. When they arrived they were told that the suspect, 38-year-old David Schieberl, had already fled the scene. Deputies took a look around along with Johnny the K9, who found Schieberl hiding in a shed on the property. He refused to come out, so Johnny was sent in after him. Schieberl had to be treated at a hospital before being booked into jail for arson, vandalism, criminal threats and more.
