Many of the evacuations ordered for the Lava Fire in Siskiyou County have been lifted and Highway 97 has reopened. The Lava Fire is estimated at 25,000 acres. It stretches from the Mount Shasta Vistas in the north to the slopes of Mount Shasta in the south. It’s now 71% contained. There’s no information available about structural damage.
