A Public Safety Power Shutoff by PG&E is likely for Tuesday night. The utility has already begun sending its 48-hour notices to customers who may be affected. A dry offshore wind event is forecast. The precautionary electricity shutoff would affect about 39,000 customers, with the majority of them- around 27,000, in Shasta and Butte Counties. Targeted outages would be in 14 other counties. Customers can see if their address is in a possible shutoff area at pge.com/pspupdates.
