A piece of statuary with great sentimental value that was stolen from the yard of a Cottonwood couple has apparently been returned. Sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning a statue was removed from the front yard of Bob and Charlotte Hensley on Bywood Drive off Bowman Road. The statue honors the memory of the Hensley’s daughter’s boyfriend, who was killed in action while serving in the Vietnam War. The Hensleys considered the young man to be part of their family. The circumstances of the recovery are unclear, but the Hensley’s are glad to have the three foot tall stone soldier back in their yard.
